    Mike Dudley enters his 3rd Season as the Assistant Coach for Coach Finnegan and the Garden City Broncbusters. During his 1st two seasons with the Broncbusters, Dudley has helped the Busters to an overall record of 85-34 with a Jayhawk West Conference Championship in 2009. Dudley has been in charge of the hitters and infielders each year and has seen the offense hit over .329 each season and field over .952. 

    In Dudley’s short stint as Assistant Coach he has helped produce 13 All Conference Players, 4 All Region 6 Players, 1 First Team All American, 1 Rawlings Big Stick Award Winner, and 7 Academic All Americans.  Dudley has also helped place 21 players to NCAA programs.

    Dudley began his coaching career at the University of Kansas in 2006 where he served as the student assistant working with first basemen. That Jayhawk club won the Big XII Tournament and played in the Corvallis, Oregon Regional. After that, he moved on to Blue Valley West High School in Overland Park, KS where he served as an assistant coach to Bill McDonald’s staff. That year’s team went on to win the 2007 6A State Championship. Dudley has also spent past summers as the Head Coach of Connie Mack teams in Colorado and Arizona. In the summer of 2008 he served as an assistant coach with the Amsterdam Mohawks of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

    Originally from Pueblo, CO, Dudley began his playing career for the Broncbusters where he played first base from 2002-2003. He spent the summer of 2003 playing for the Mankato Moondogs of the Northwoods League where he was the recipient of the Rawlings Silver Glove Award along with big leaguer Ben Zobrist of the Tampa Bay Rays. After Garden City, Dudley transferred to the University of Kansas where he played from 2004-2005. The Jayhawk teams that Dudley was a part of posted back to back 30 win season and made the Big XII Tournament in 2005.

    Coach Dudley graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from KU in the spring of 2006. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through KU in the fall of 2008. He is married to the former Abby Schwind of Overland Park, KS.
