Garden Loses First Of The Season To Lamar

    The Garden City baseball team traveled to Lamar, CO on Wednesday to take on the Runnin' Lopes in a non-conference game at Merchant's Park. Garden dropped the nine inning contest by a score of 5-3. Freshman Kris Lalk (Denver, CO) recieved his first collegiat start and went 4 1/3 innings. Brad Benes (Omaha, NE) paced the Busters with two hits.

    Garden City will play host to the Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen this weekend. Doubleheaders will begin both days at 1:00pm CST at William Stadium.
